Individuals and families are invited to join others affected by epilepsy for a fun-filled afternoon in the park! Whether you're an individual with epilepsy, a parent, sibling, friend, or relative, our annual pot-luck style Picnic is all about connecting with others who are also affected by epilepsy. The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Los Angeles provides the BBQ meat and refreshments, but each participant is requested to bring along picnic food to share with others. The Foundation will lead social icebreakers, while our friends from The Art of Elysium will lead the arts and crafts for the children throughout. The day ends with traditional picnic activities that bring out the inner child in all of us and encourage bonding (i.e. tug-of-war, bobbing for apples, three-legged race, potato-sack race, water balloon toss, and the egg-on-a-spoon race. ) Join us for the fun and build a network of friends! See photos from our 2010 Picnic.
Thank you to all the adults who joined us at the Picnic on Saturday, June 18th, 2011! We hope to see you again in 2012!
Adults affected by epilepsy and their friends or loved ones are welcome for our annual Holiday Party in December. Held in conjunction with our Family Holiday Party, this event provides a chance for individuals to enjoy diverse holiday pasttimes together as well as exchange knowledge, connect with others, and help bring the season's cheer to young children with epilepsy.
