Volunteer
Join our fight to END EPILEPSY! The roots of the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Los Angeles are firmly grounded in volunteerism. We always need your help in everything we do, from providing supportive resources, engaging in advocacy, hosting fundraisers, thanking donors, to educating the community about epilepsy and so much more! Each year, we depend on almost 100 amazing volunteers--who provide services equivalent to 3 full-time staff.

| Board membership - The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Los Angeles is seeking board members who represent the needed expertise, industries, and diversity needed to represent and link to our community in order to lead the fight to END EPILEPSY. If you are interested or would like to nominate someone to volunteer on the Board of Trustees or the Professional Advisory Board, please contact Rebekkah Halliwell by calling 310.670.2870 ext. 103 or sending an email. Please be advised that the process for identifying and recruiting of board volunteers is somewhat different from the process for program volunteers. |
| Program committee - Talented community volunteers are needed to assist in the delivery of timely and appropriate client-centered services, which are the result of the diligent work of many caring, dedicated, and creative volunteers. |
| Event committee - A pool of connected, talented and creative volunteers is needed to organize the annual special events. We invite you to join us in our effort so we can raise funds to support the much needed services. |
| Internships - The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Los Angeles has benefited from the short and long-term involvement of college interns. Please contact us if you are interested in pursuing a volunteer internship with the Foundation. |
| Volunteer once, volunteer often - If you can’t make the commitment to serve on the Board or on a committee, don’t worry — there are still meaningful ways to get involved to END EPILEPSY. Please consider a one-time or a one-day volunteer experience. That way you can get better acquainted with us, and us with you. |
How to Apply

Please be advised that depending on nature/capacity of your volunteer interest, you may need to attend a Volunteer Orientation, Interview, or Training as well as provide additional documentation. We are devoted to fostering the training, development, and support of our valued volunteers! Given advance notice, we also provide specific certificates/letters confirming hours of service upon request.
